About
Hi, I’m Julia! I’m an art director and graphic designer with 9 years of experience based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have spent the past 6 years developing my own design business, Sasseville Studio. As the sole designer of Sasseville Studio, I’ve worked on everything from digital marketing, to brand identity design, to package design, to publication design, and more. I’ve especially loved working with small businesses to elevate the aesthetics of their brands and creative agencies to learn new skills and be mentored by more seasoned creatives. Before starting my business, I cut my teeth on Target’s Weekly Ad and digital promotions team as an in-house designer and art director. I also worked as an art director in a small advertising agency and marketing firm in Minneapolis, creating everything from brand identity designs, to website designs, to stellar social media feeds. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on brands such as Target, United Health Group, Seventh Generation, Honeywell, Stratasys, CityGirl Coffee, Honey & Rye Bakehouse, Bergin Fruit & Nut Company, The Pankonien Group, BuyDRM, The Institute for Humane Studies, CCEF and more.
I fell in love with the field of graphic design because I’m a both a story-teller and typography enthusiast at heart. As a consumer, I’m drawn to brands that tell compelling, truthful, and original stories. It’s my goal to approach each project with that same authenticity, professionalism, and excellence. When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me reading books to my son, drinking coffee with my husband, or listening to podcasts while cooking something spicy.
